My big takeaway was the idea that it can actually be easier to create revenue first by going after the big ticket thing.

I've heard it said there are three types of perspectives we can adopt as entrepreneurs: the Historian, the Reporter, and the Futurist. All are important: the Historian pulls insight from the past, the Reporter focuses on current events, and the Futurist focus on what is to come. This is a futurist book. A key takeaway for me: Choosing the path of entrepreneurship means choosing a path of problems for the rest of your career. I've been quoting that line to my audience since I read it. I found that John laid out some technical concepts I already knew (and some I didn’t), but it was more about the way he presented the information. As we grow our businesses, we can get so caught up in so many to-do's that we end up feeling overwhelmed and get stuck. I think that serve call template is a game changer. I've done a few calls like this, but it's always been like, "Okay, what's next? What's next?" and I've never really had a script at all so I think, yeah, that'll definitely be a game changer.
The other thing I found really useful was some of the smaller things you talked about, like the meeting structure, how to structure these sessions. Once a week, 90 minutes, start with the weekly wins. Small things, but critical for good structure for the session.
